MEET
DR. CODY
Dr. Cody has always been passionate about caring for animals and is thrilled to be able to share in this lifelong journey of wellness with you and your pet. She received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Studio Art at Muhlenberg College in 2005. During this time, she shadowed with and volunteered for various veterinarians in her community and on one such occasion, she experienced a unique path in veterinary medicine she had not yet previously encountered. She witnessed an elderly German Shepherd being treated for a debilitating chronic condition with the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy...and it was helping! This stirred a great interest in her to embrace integrative medicine as part of her veterinary journey, since it became apparent there was more to be explored in the world of healing and medicine than what was being presented in mainstream western culture.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011and a few years later becoming established as an associate veterinarian at Pennridge Animal Hospital, Dr. Cody was able to attain her Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute in Florida in 2019. Since then, Dr. Cody has treated numerous family pets using both eastern and western treatment modalities. She continues to immerse herself in learning about all alternative therapies for animal companions, both large and small, as a means to bring a health, harmony, and happiness to their lives.
Dr. Cody lives in Bucks County with her supportive husband and their three young, energetic children. They also share their home with a playful, sweet natured dog named Galaxy and an affectionate orange house-cat named Morris. Together, they love to spend time outside in nature and exploring the woods, nearby lakes, beaches and National Parks. One of their favorite places to visit is Assateague National Seashore in Maryland. Dr. Cody's loves to take pictures and photography has become her main outlet for creative expression in between the busy day to day of being a full time mom and veterinarian. She looks forward to working with you and your pets for years to come and perhaps snapping a few photos along the way!
